A great automotive service will provide the most highly trained technician to deal with a customer’s automobile problems.  Issues, including break related problems, must be resolved with the expertise to prevent serious accidents or worse.

To provide assurance to all customers, the automotive technician must be highly trained. A company with a competent technician will be favored over a company with poorly trained auto mechanics.

Becoming an automotive technician means eight to 12 weeks of on hand training, including 80 hours of paid training.  Students learn the ends and outs of what makes an automobile works and how to repair each problem that can occur with an active motor vehicle.

When a student finishes an automotive technician training program he or she will have a thorough understanding of what it takes to fix the most common car problems. A well trained technician will understand:

Once a trainee has mastered the above he or she will be able to identify problems via computer diagnostic tools, test parts, and systems to verify that everything is working properly, to prepare work process using charts, technical manuals, and experience.

Competent technicians will follow a check list to assure that all vital parts of an automobile will works appropriately, perform simple maintenance, including oil change, fluid levels, tire rotation, replace worn parts, and fix problems to customer satisfaction.

In addition to receiving significant training in the above, students are exposed to industry speakers, tours and employer contacts.
